how long does it take for gas to dissipate This is a topic that many people are looking for. g4site.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, g4site.com would like to introduce to you Dangers of high pressure gas!. Following along are instructions in the video below:
At the moment. The cylinder is closed. This is the primary regulator.
Which tells me me how much pressure there is in this cylinder. And its just sort of hundred atmospheres and then ive got a secondary regulator. Here hes going to tell me what the pressure is so im just gonna put on a white now a couple of bar and were gonna open it so thats just a couple of bar.
A couple of our i can hold with my finger. Not that big of a deal if i jack this up oh. I know six bar it gets harder the hole of my finger.
I and if we jack it up to about ten bar and now it gets really difficult with my finger. I really cant do it last ten bar. If i take this off and open the cylinder thats 200 bar.
Which as you can tell its gonna be loud let me get a wrench and ill do that so. This is not gonna be 200 bar. Okay.
Make sure you actually braced into the wall. Loudly enough. Oh.
Its called blast comes off that but anyway. So thats what 200 bar looks like and thats basically what elon musk would be proposing to use to accelerate and decelerate his cars a which is an absolute farce on so many levels. But anyway.
Necessary it was something else interesting with these cylinders so here i have my hyper transfer bone are youll notice. I got various pieces of tape stuck on here thats so the thermal camera can actually see them otherwise. The thermal camera.
Really wont see the temperature of the metal. So here i have my cylinder which im about to fill so this thing is its about timber ok. So ive never done this before.
And you really have to respect you high pressure gases and this is just to give you a demonstration of some of the problems that you get when dealing with high pressure gases the most important being heat float so if i would just get a bicycle pump and you only compress it probably a factor of five to ten. But that can actually get hot to the touch. And thats only giving you five atmospheres of pressure here.
I have two hundred atmospheres of pressure and principle. If you take gas and you can crush it a factor of two hundred the temperature that gas goes up to about 2000 kelvin. Which thats gonna do some damage.
Now all right you know. Most of it most of the heat gets absorbed by the bricky things. But its still a lot of energy to having the gas that youve got to dissipate.
So what im going to do is me and gently open this one and certainly open this one and this one doesnt matter. So much this one can be mostly open and then this one okay just like that now all right mister. The in see where its getting cold.
Yeah. Its getting cold here and this guys keep that almost straight away. Thats amazing.
Oh hes hes warm to the touch. Oh.
This is where youll be really careful. This is this is not im not really opening these things up now theyre only just yeah. This guys is hot to the touch.
Wait now okay not hot to the touch is warm to the touch. Nice. Lets give him a bit more all right so we started.
This wood about 10 bar on that im quite sure hes at the moment. Actually you see now the whole cylinder here is starting to cool down. Yeah.
You see most of the cooling. Here. But its all over the place this guy oh.
Now hes getting up to stop there saying honest before and hes there was a body temperature tight. I am just me yeah so if i would have just preferring that over 200 bar this thing goes to probably 200 degrees. I would guess you know whence we include the mass and the cylinder and everything okay right so i take this off of course.
Theres gonna be this despair gas venting just in the connector. I just wanna see how much i transferred over all right youre a cool this guy. This guy had about ten bar.
This is really chilly this is freezing temperature right lets see how much gas. We actually transferred laughter. Im so damaged and i wonder why were really okay so make sure all closed up.
And i put in about 60 bar. There and so that went from about yeah. A five hour to 60 bar.
And that was enough to heat. It to you know body temperature. So if i put in 3 times.
As much gas to play up 200 bar. This thing would be a hundred and something degrees all that music boom music.nt come apart and destroy your car when its time to start it later now.
Lets say you were a bad boy or girl. And you didnt do it your car sat for a while you started up and it kind of runs bad well what you want to do is drive. It a little bit and then fill it up as fast as you can with new gas.
I had a motorcycle like that years ago. I let it sit for years without using it when i opened the cap up it smelled like turpentine. It didnt even smell like gasoline.
Because all the volatile stuff had already evaporated off and in that case at least. It was a motorcycle. So i just siphoned the old crap out of the tank put in new stuff.
It ran a little rough for a while but and after the first tank was gone it went back to normal. So now you know how long gasoline can last in your car. And since this is mechanic monday.
Im giving away some of this fuel stabilizer for a chance to win just place a clean non offensive comment on the youtube comments below and a winner will be chosen randomly by a computer. So if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos remember to ring that bell .
